Overhead Cost Controller (m/f/d) for Global Player in the automotive industry - Stuttgart region – appr. 80 TEUR p.a.

Our client is a major international corporation with subsidiaries on all continents. The EMEA headquarter and a major development site are located in the Stuttgart region.

As a controller, you already got to know and used SG&A cost reduction as a major leverage with high potential. You know that improvements require not only top-down identification, but must be concretized bottom up. With this in view, you will act as the liaison person for the specialist departments at several European locations when it comes to cost-saving measures.

Your responsibilities in a team of several colleagues in controlling will include:

  • The budgeting of administrative and sales overheads, personnel costs and material costs and the preparation of regular forecasts, reports and analyses.
  • Managing the extensive and complex intercompany relationships and ensuring that the accounting and tax regulations are met
  • Assisting in the further development of existing controlling processes and instruments, analyzing and questioning the system of internal reports with regard to their suitability for controlling the company. Your focus here will also be on driving forward the further automation and digitalization of processes
  • The preparation and consolidation of group-wide reporting with the group's locations in Germany, Southern and Eastern Europe
  • Participation in monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • The support of the SAP cost accounting system and its further development

Our client expects you to have gained several years of professional experience in controlling in a manufacturing industrial company, preferably in the automotive sector, after completing your business studies with a focus on controlling.

You are proficient in the use of SAP and have a good command of MS Excel.

The international scope of the job requires good English and German language skills

Our client is a major international corporation, but at the local site (in the north of Stuttgart) with several hundred employees, they see themselves more as a medium-sized company, the way of working is characterized by a "hands on" mentality and pragmatism, and the decision-making processes are short.  The cross-location cooperation requires an individual who can go into detail, e.g. in discussions with the responsible division managers, but who also has an eye for the "big picture" and can communicate and argue convincingly at all levels and defend his or her opinion.

The company is an international global player, very profitable and is pursuing a targeted expansion and acquisition strategy, as a result of which further interesting prospects are opening up. The satisfaction of the employees is reflected, among other things, in an above-average length of service - the perspective of a long-term cooperation is also offered and expected when filling this position.

Interested? Then we look forward to hearing from you
