Controlling from R&D to SOP - Stuttgart area - ca. 85 TEUR p.a.

Our client is a major international automotive series production company with subsidiaries on all continents.  The EMEA headquarter and an important development site are located near Stuttgart.

  • The focus of your job will be on analyzing and improving productivity across multiple areas with a focus on R&D, projects and sales.
  • In project controlling you will set new accents, accompany development projects from a business point of view , continuously track project costs until SOP and create project-related reports
  • You improve sales controlling with regard to volume, sales and margin planning, are responsible for the preparation of price calculations, support sales in the process of customer projects and in the preparation of quotations and discuss variance analyses and forecasts with the sales managers. You optimize the reporting, give inputs for the implementation of standards and monitor the KPI's.
  • You will work closely with the HQ in Asia on planning, analysis and reporting and also develop SAP functions.

Our client envisions  that for mastering this versatile and challenging task  you gained at least five years of professional experience in controlling in a manufacturing industrial company, preferably in the automotive industry, after graduating in industrial engineering.

The international scope  of the job requires a working knowledge of German and English. You should be able to move confidently within the complexity of a globally operating group organized in matrix structures. You are well-versed in the use of SAP PS, CO and SD.

Although our client is part of a large international group, the local site (in the north of Stuttgart) with several hundred employees is  medium-sized, the way of working is characterized by a "hands on" mentality and pragmatism and the decision-making processes are short. The position requires a personality who is able to  go into detail, e.g. in discussions with the responsible cost center managers in development, sales, production, etc., but who also has an eye for the "big picture" and can communicate and argue convincingly at all levels.  You should take on the role of a "change agent" rather than that of a "preservationist", be familiar with and implement agile project management methods and support the company in driving forward the process of automation and digitalization.

The company is an international global player, very profitable and pursues a targeted expansion and acquisition strategy, as a result of which further interesting prospects arise. The contentment of the employees is reflected, among other aspects, in an above-average length of employment with the company - the perspective of a long-term cooperation is also offered and expected when filling this position.

Interested? Then we look forward to hearing from you
