(Junior) Technical Buyer (m/f/d) - Stuttgart area
Our client, a global player in the automotive supply industry, has extended the company's location near Stuttgart into the European headquarters and, thanks to its high level of expertise, is opening up further profitable business areas.
The previous job holder is moving internally to another area, therefore we are looking for a candidate to fill thes position as
(Junior) Technical Buyer (m/f/d) – Stuttgart area
- Your tasks will include project purchasing and purchasing activities in modification projects for serial parts
- Within the scope of project purchasing, you will supervise procurement projects for technical components according to drawings or specifications, check and evaluate material and manufacturing costs and identify potential savings
- In terms of effective change management, you will act as a contact person between series suppliers and internal departments in cases where action is required due to functional changes, supplier changes or changes in technical, legal or customer-initiated circumstances. You help to avoid cost increases due to specification changes of a component and proactively identify savings opportunities due to product changes or supplier changes.
- You are involved in the search for new suppliers and in supplier management (local, partly global).
- You will be in close communication with commodity purchasing, supply chain management, development etc.
Our client expects you to have gained (first) years of experience as a buyer in an international environment in the automotive industry - at an OEM, tier1 or tier2 - after a degree in (industrial) engineering or business administration or other equivalent education/training. You are familiar - at least in their basic features - with the standards, regulations and procedures according to APQP or ISO/TS 16949, VDA etc
You should feel comfortable in international corporate structures. You are able to communicate and negotiate in German and English. It would be helpful if you already have knowledge of SAP module MM.
You are a person who keeps a "cool head" even in the "hot phases" of a project. You enjoy dealing with different interlocutors and the experience with other cultures. You attach importance to a collaboration that is designed for the long term - this aspect is very important to our client.
